Default Happy Turkey Day...'-}}

I'm a bit early but I wanted to wish those of us in the US a Happy Thanksgiving and those anywhere else in the world a happy Thursday...'-}}

My sister and I decided that we will be going out for a late lunch/early dinner at a local diner and we will each leave the diner with a piece of the diner's absolutely fab chocolate cream pie--I'm always too full to have dessert and then regret the lack of dessert about 3 hours later so this time, no regrets...'-}}

It's snowing here in VA...ugh! Just enough to be very, very annoying for those trying to travel in/out of the area for the holiday...

Well, to everyone except the turkeys

Hope you get to the diner without being stuck in a drift!

So glad to hear that...it would be disappointing on turkey day not to be full...'-}}

My sister's and my visit to the diner was quite yummy. It was disappointing that they didn't have chocolate cream pie but then my sister had the brill idea of calling their other location which is actually closer to home than the one where we were to see if they had the pie and they did so...we stopped on our way home and picked up a piece for each of us...'-}}

Indeed!!! '-}}

I found turkey thighs at the grocery store--didn't know they sold turkey parts--so I picked up a package but I have to figure out how to cook them. I figure a little salt, a little lemon pepper and perhaps a bit of butter but I don't know what cooking temp or how long in the oven.

Suggestions?

The general rule for meat is 20 minutes per pound at 350°F. I would start them skin side down in a hot skillet on top of the stove until the skin is browned, then finish them skin side up in the oven.
