I recently transferred contents of old Win98 maching to new WinXP machine (using PC Relocator). Problem is, WinXP fails to recognize all but one of my PS fonts.

In order to install a particular font in WinXP, should I direct the font installer to the .PFB file or the .PFM file--or both?

Would appreciate any guidance on how to get my PS fonts working again!

The way it works when installing with ATM (and perhaps also with the Windows installer) is:

You have your fonts (pfb) in a folder. In that folder you have a folder called PFM. Surprisingly, it contains all the pfms of the root folder. You browse to the PFM in ATM, and it will install both parts of the font.

Try having your pfms in the child folder from the pfbs, and see if it works.

Don:

I'd add to that, that if the font files are not in the WinNT\Fonts folder, you'll need to tell Win XP what folder they're in when you give the instruction 'Instal fonts' in WinNT\Fonts.

Of course, it's easier to use ATM Deluxe.
