Hi guys,
I have finally managed to produce one of my own book covers. I was taking help from two artists friends with the covers of all my previous books, but now after doing some lessons with Illustrator CS3 and Microsoft Expression Design, I was able to put together a cover and publish this book.*
Also within this book I have over 150 black and white illustrations and diagrams.

Take a look and give your comment, but I am not an artist even though I have done much writing. I really struggled with Illustrator. It is a great piece of software but if you do not already have artistic skills, it can be frustrating unless you want to spend much time and correct yourself over and over.

Your first link has a very small image for the cover so the amazon link is better as one can "look inside" and see larger versions of the cover and your other illustrations.

What were you trying to show with your cover image? I find it a bit busy and the human figure more distracting than informative (for lack of a better term)...

The page diagrams I think are clear and helpful...

The cover image shows a meditator listening to a sound which is heard in a certain type of meditation, while at the same time, the meditator is perceiving another reality visually. The blue space with stars is that other reality.

The human figure to the left, shows a chakra energy field which is sometimes experienced in certain meditations. That is familiar to anyone is versed in chakras and related meditation.

I do however appreciate your appraisal.

Thank you for the clarification. I think the cover would have been "better" without the human figure--or perhaps with the figure placed differently--as I think you may have been trying to present too much information on the cover. Of course, this is moot as it's too late to change things now...'-}}

We have been having problems with posts being flagged as moderated and your reply to me was flagged (don't know why) and I just discovered this and approved your reply so that's why you might not have seen your reply appear in the thread...sorry about that...
