One of the funniest programmes on the radio is "I'm sorry I Haven't a Clue", surely the most delightfully rude show on Radio 4. Here's a selection of yesterday's new entries for the modern dictionary. You can listen again to the show on the BBC website, by the way.

Awol - a dyslexic owl
Defunct - to have one's sense of rhythm removed
Definite - street slang for hard of hearing
Measles - what artists use for self portraits
Stockade - fizzy Oxo
Offset - the regulating authority that inspects badgers
Onomatopeia - the first sign of a weak bladder
Laburnum - a French barbecue
Venezuela - a gondola with a harpoon gun
Undeterred - a skid mark
Goatherd - exclamation while flushing
Scar tissue - a problem attaching a DVD to a television
Cockney - a condition caused by the bouncing of the pen*s on the patella

What's amazing is how they get away with broadcasting some of the jokes -- must be something to do with their ages.

I think you're right, Mike. Humph (pushing 90 these days) is probably the only person who can crack desperately rude jokes on Radio 4. I love the programme!
