Folks:

I need to identify that (damned ugly) typeface so I can re-do these peoples' banners. Can you name this typeface?

Thanks for any hints!

Thanks for any hints! You know, I would have sworn this was not a font but hand-drawn lettering, but after a bit of searching, I think it is probably Snap ITC (http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/snap-itc/snap-itc/). I have attached an image of the font.

If that is it (or close enough), you might want to search on Snap ITC to see if there are less expensive sources than Linotype.

This may or may not help Binky, but I believe that Snap was bundled with Microsoft Office, perhaps as far back as Office 97.

Oh, I *knew* it was a typeface because I've seen the ugly thing before, but thasnks for identifying it! I can hardly wait to start working with it (not!).

I appreciate your help!

(BTW, how on earth do you *find* a typeface? do you use a font search engine and type in "ugly fat lop-sided" and "Snap" comes back?)

I cannot tell a lie: I submitted your image to Identifont (http://www.identifont.com/), and it found Snap almost instantly.

Gaaaaah! That place is FREAKY! I imagined my favorite typeface (Template Gothic) and it asked me 21 questions about it and then told me it was Template Gothic. It was like having my mind read.

Thanks for the *very* cool resource!

Thanks for the *very* cool resource! You’re welcome. Now you get a glimpse of what font nuts see!

I hope that doesn’t mean you will be a stranger here!
