Has anyone here tried out REALbasic? It can be used to develop for Windows, Mac, and Linux. http://www.realbasic.com/

I used it for a while on the Mac. but gave up. If you're going to get into object-oriented programming, might as well go the whole way and use C++.

OTOH, I've seen some pretty sophicticated software generated with RB, including Crossforge, a crossword-puzzle constructor.

I have it and started translating one app from VB6. Until the tuits ran out.
With MS' move to VB.NET, the RealBasic folks have a nice little crack they may be able to leverage a wedge or two into. We'll see ...

I wonder if it has a place in cross platform development of plugins or other photo utilities.
